Support Gannondale

All successful organizations have big dreamers - they imagine what the future could be and work towards that goal.

Since 1934 Gannondale has worked to meet the needs of adolescent females who are experiencing behavioral, emotional and family difficulties that preclude their remaining in the community. We are a nonprofit organization with 501©(3) status, with a statewide reputation for offering quality residential care and counseling. Our main goal is to build a strong moral character to meet the challenges of the environment to which these young women will return. We do this through various modalities but at the core of all service is meeting the very basic needs of each young woman, the need for clothing, food and shelter. Beyond these basic needs, we try to expose them to new opportunities and experiences to enhance their worldview.

Gannondale is funded through per diem rates received from county placing agencies, however this does not cover many of the “extras” for the girls nor does it cover any capital expenditures. Our staff who are responsible for implementing the programs do a fine job, however additional resources always seem to be needed.
