Grief Counseling Services

A number of youth have lost parents, family members or other loved ones, sometimes through violent acts. Others have suffered loss through divorce and abandonment. Many times, these youngsters suffer a delayed grief reaction. We evaluate background information and the self-disclosure of these youth and involve them in a six week “Good Grief Group”. The group allows the issue of grief to emerge, be dealt with and placed in proper context in a safe and nurturing environment.
