Community Meeting
Community meetings are held twice a day to bring staff and girls together to share feelings and goals. We create safety and establish connections within the group.

3 questions are asked:
1. How are you feeling today?
2. What is your goal for today?
3. Who will you ask for help?
These simple questions encourage emotional identification and teach children to use words rather than actions. Goals create structure and relate to the process of using reasoning. Finally, asking for help allows those who have lost faith in others to reestablish that bond. It also fosters a sense of community between staff and girls.
The Community Meeting is concluded by a member sharing an inspirational quote with the rest of the group, such as:
"Developing your feelings vocabulary is a way to experience more of the wonderful person you are becoming"
