The value of Social Responsibility
is to listen to the wisdom of the group, and work for social justice.
The trauma-Informed goal of Social Responsibility
is the teaching of relational skills and sense of
social justice.
There was a "Thought of the Day" which was shared with the Gannondale community each morning in April. The purpose of this is to keep staff and residents continuously thinking about the concept of Social Responsibility.
For example:
“Justice is conscience, not a personal conscience but the conscience of the whole of humanity. Those who clearly recognize the voice of their own conscience usually recognize also the voice of justice.”
- Alexander Sozhenitsyn
